I walked into SUNCOAST to buy DVDs with a gift card, however when I saw my three favorite male characters from the Buffyverse on this attractive boxed set, how might I resist? Both Suncoast and Amazon promote this set for a particularly reasonable $44.
Giles (as he seems within the Buffy episode ) is a good likeness, but does not appear as very comparable to himself as the opposite figures do. Spike (as he appears in the Buffy episode "Tabula Rasa") is an ideal likeness, and comes with a bit of 'Randy Giles' hat--think Kyle from South Park. Wesley (as he appears in the Angel episode "The Shroud of Rahmon") seems to be essentially the most like himself. All three figures bring the physical appearance and the individualality of their respective personas.
A few minor downsides: Their is a pair of glasses that include the set, presumably intended for Giles. They are too giant for Wesley and Spike, so when I put them on Giles, they had been a good fit. Apparently too tight, as a result of after I picked up the figure, the glasses shot off into space--never to be viewed once more unless I step on them with a bare foot. I additionally now noticed that the figures are all taking a seem downwards, however that's no longer that large of a problem.
The verdict? A very, superb purchase.
